How sassy is this picture? It was taken on Saturday after me, Lilly, and Mom had a girls day out! While we were in the mall, I decided that I wanted my second piercing in my ear. Well, after thinking about it for a few minutes...Lilly decided that she had to get her ears done as well. Me and Mom talked about it for awhile and she called Dad and got everything straightened out. We told Lilly that she could get earrings too. We did let her know that it would hurt for only a minute. She didn't seem to mind so she crawled up in my lap and the two ladies counted to three and pierced her little ears. She screamed bloody murder and latched on to me for dear life. My heart was broken and me and mom just looked at each other like what did we do to this baby. After about thirty seconds, Mom held up a mirror for Lilly and her eyes lit up and she instantly stopped crying. Ever since that moment, she keeps looking in the mirror and says "Hey there pretty girl!" Such a sassy girl!!

And the little princess also wanted me to share this with you all...her new big girl bedroom!

As you can tell, she picked out Hello Kitty as her decor! She loves loves love Hello Kitty. Hehe notice the big pillow beside the bed...just in case the safety rails do not do there job of keeping her in the bed!

Hey everyone, first off I want to apologize for neglecting my blog. I am just so incredibly busy with work and school. There really isn't much time for internet, because in my spare time...I want to spend time with my family. I actually have a free day today so I wanted to do blog makeovers and updates! Well, the little man is doing wonderful and we will be officially adopting him in May! We are so blessed and so happy! As of right now, we are trying to decide on his name that he will be given on Adoption Day. We know that Rayden will stay his first name but his middle name will change. We are debating on Rayden Caleb, Rayden Alexander, or Rayden Josiah. So we have a pretty good little list to narrow down.

Rayden is such an amazing baby! He loves to just look around and observe everything thats going on around him. He is eating baby food now and has a very stable schedule. And we are very happy to announce that he sleeps all through the night! This is such a blessing to us...as for Lilly didn't sleep all night for almost 8 months!

Miss Lilly is being such an awesome big sister! She always runs to the rescue when Rayden makes one little noise. Since the last update, Lilly now has her own big girl room and she doesn't share with me anymore. I really miss having her in the room with me, but she was just to big for her baby bed. Her vocabulary is amazing, she is having complete adult like conversations with us. She is so much fun!

Now that you have an update and a good sense of what is going on in our house, here are what I know you all really want...pictures! I'll post one of Lilly's new big girl room soon!

The Princess had an amazing Christmas and she keeps saying that Santa loves her very much, its so cute! I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas as well! We are getting ready to bring Rayden home this weekend so the house is very crowded as we are going through all of the baby things and doing some shopping because our last little one was a baby girl =] Just wanted to let everyone know that all is well and next time I update...we'll have a new addition!

Lilly has had a terrible virus the past two weeks and has been in the local children's hospital ever since last Monday. The virus causes painful sores to appear in her mouth and on her face...its almost like a herpes virus. She had to start a feeding tube over the weekend because she couldn't eat due to the pain that she was feeling. She has also been on Morphine. Thats powerful stuff for a two year old baby girl. Please Pray that the little bug is back to 100% VERY soon. I'll update more in a few days!

This was taken earlier today...she is feeling much better! Believe it or not, she has still managed to keep the paci in her mouth. She doesn't suck it, just props it on her tongue.

Look at her...

I know that the circle of life consist of growing from a baby into a child and then a teen and then an adult. Well, Lillyana is now 2 years old. TWO! I can't believe it when I think about that. I am totally in love with the way she is right now...she is talking and having real conversation with me. But I really miss when she was this age. In this picture she was 13 months old..it was her first football game. Look at those cheeks. Sometimes I just wish I could hold her and kiss her chubby baby cheeks again. Now she is to busy playing tea party and riding her tricycle. Just for one day I want to go back in time and see her as a little baby...parents are right when they say we grow up too fast!!

Lily has some really big news...she will soon be a big sister to a little baby boy!

Thats right...I said boy! The family that we have been matched with is expecting a little boy and there was no way on earth we were turning this down. Find out more information on the adoption here

Lily Jayde continues to have a great summer. The weather is getting much cooler here so we are enjoying many evenings outside! Things will soon be different with a little boy around the house..thats going to be new for everyone. We are all so excited, including Lily. She just keeps on asking if Cayb will be here soon (thats how she says Caleb) Its so cute!

Hey guys, sorry about the lack of blogging for this long period of time. School is almost over and then I am good to go for summer! I will be back on a regular basis, hopefully! I am not working this summer because I just want free time. I feel pretty fortunate that I don't have to, all of my friends are going to be working this summer. I want to spend a lot of time with my Little Bug =] I want to be able to take her out to the pool, the park, and she would love to go to the zoo! I look forward to doing all these big sister things with her!! I really miss her during the school year, I don't see her near as much as I want to because I am always so busy. There really isn't anything new going on in Lilly's world..but we do have big news at the other blog!

Back to normal

Everything is finally back to normal here at home. Lilly Bug is back to her sweet and sassy little self and I am all caught up in school. We're just trying to keep Lilly at home as much as we can right now due to all the sickness still in the air. The weather is very nice but we are scared that if she is outdoors to much, then pollen will get her allergies started and we don't want a repeat sickness no time soon! Nothing has really been going on around here, just hanging out. School will be out in about two months. I love summer break because the LiL Bug is all mine =] I get to be with her all day long. In the school year, I get so busy and its like I barely ever see her. Thats why I can't wait until summer time! Well thats all of the update I've got for now...not much I know. I hope you are all doing great!

As crazy as it seems, Lilly is just now 100% better. She was in the ER for two nights due to the croup and a severe double ear infection. Then once she got home, she was hit with the flu and so were me and my mom. It was horrible! Our house has not been the happiest place the past few weeks. We are just now getting back on track after missing many events and me missing a 7 days of school. I'm so so behind, but it'll be ok. I have really good teachers that will help me out. Lilly is just now getting her complete appetite back and is about to eat us out of the house. Hehe we think its from where she basically didn't eat anything for about 9 days in a row. I'm so happy to have my sweet LiL Bug back! Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts.

Overall, Lilly did really good with me taking her picture. She did a pretty good job sitting down and smiling for the camera. The only issue we have is that she wants to make silly faces when she sees the camera, therefore, all of her pictures are crazy. And then of course after awhile she gets restless and is ready to get up and be on the go again. Its so hard to believe that she was so photogenic at one time. hehe :)

Hey everyone! I know that its only Wednesday but tomorrow will be a very busy day so I wanted to make my Thanksgiving post today while I had some free time.

As I think back on my life, I have so many things that I cannot imagine living my life without. I am Thankful for everything that God has given me. Here are some things that really stand out to me...

My parents, without them I wouldn't have the wonderful life that has been given to me. They support me in every way possible and they are always their when I need them.

My Lilly Bug, This little girl has taught me so much! She has given my life a new meaning. I didn't know that it was possible to love anyone like I love her. We may not have the same birth parents, but she is my precious baby sister that I love with everything I've got.

All of my friends, everything would be a lot harder without you guys...especially school. lol

Adoption, adoption has brought such a joy to my life. I pray that one day I am able to adopt! Their's nothing else like the joy it brings!

I'm Thankful for so much! I feel so greatful to have the life that I have been given.

Rylee Update

Well everyone! I am so sorry that I didn't mention Rylee in the last update. Its not exactly an update that I am very happy about. She is no longer staying with our family. At the beginning of this month, she was matched with a young couple who love her more than words can say. We had to drive about 5 hours to meet them and then 2 weeks later, we got the call that everything looked good and they would foster Rylee until the adoption was finalized. It was very tough at first to not have the sweet baby girl with her big smile and sweet little laugh. God is so good and now sweet Rylee has her forever family! We have talked to the family once since they have had her and she is doing great. We hope to meet up with them at Christmas time to pay our sweet girl a visit! Thank you for all your concerns!

as for Lilly Jayde...
she is not feeling to good this week, we think its just teething so hopefully she will be all better by the weekend. I wish so so bad that I had pictures to post but my camera broke a few weeks ago so I am saving up for a new one. I hope to have it in the next couple weeks!

Oh my goodness! 2 months since my last post! I do apologize...I have just been so busy. I have had a very good school year so far and now that I am working and Lilly is walking all around, things are just crazy and their isn't much computer time. Thats right, she is walking! Hey everyone! I am here to get caught up with my blogging! As many of you are wondering, Lilly is feeling better! She was back in the ER on Sunday night whenever she wouldn't keep anything down and her fever got high again. She has had an intestinal virus. It has been tough but we are getting back on track. I haven't taken any pictures over the past few days...I took these today but she wasn't really feeling like a photo shoot. The picture on the right is my favorite! It shows her sweet little features and her beautiful smile! and did you notice her hair??? Awwww, it is getting so long! And yes, that is a hair barret, so cute! I hope that I am 100% caught up in bloggerworld and that I can soon get back to daily post!

Is feeling a little better today. She had a not so good night but we were expecting that...
She was up from 1-4 and then back asleep until about 8. She fussed alot in her sleep and was very restless. As for the day...she was alot better. She didn't nap like she does normally but we were totally expecting that. We still have a few days of not so good probably but we are willing to work with Lilly so she can get to feeling better faster!

A Very Sick Baby

There are most definitly no pictures today. Lilly woke up this morning still very fussy so Mom made her a doctor appt. for this afternoon at 3. Well, whenever Lilly woke up from her nap at about 1:00, she was burning up and her little cheeks were bright red. My mom took her temp. and when the thermometer said 103.8 we decided that the ER was our best decision. So we loaded up and headed down the hospital just in case. They took Lilly back and by that time her temp. was 104 even. I was freaking out!!! They were even going to take blood for testing but they couldn't get anything because she was dehydrated. They listened to her lungs and they didn't sound good so then we find out that she has bronchitis as well as an inner ear infection. POOR POOR BABY!
Once she was settled and her fever was down a little bit, we went in and just sat there with her for about 3 hours while she had an IV for the dehydration. She wanted us to hold her so bad, it was probably the saddest thing ever! We are home with her now and she just finished a breathing treatment and is getting ready to go to sleep. We are expecting a rough night...hopefully it will be descent.

This picture is from Sunday before church. Isn't Lilly Jayde's dress so pretty? This dress is very special because it is the very first purchase that we made after we were matched with a birth mother. We bought it at a boutique that my mom's good friend owns. We bought this outfit and just in case, we also bought a little boy outfit because we were clueless to what the baby was.
We have been waiting for her to be able to wear it and after she grows out of it, it will be hung up on the wall in Lilly's nursery!

First off I wanted to say sorry for my lack of post here lately but I have been really busy! It is crazy how adding one little baby to the house can make things crazy!
Lilly Jayde will be 10 months on Thursday. It is so crazy how the time goes by s0o fast. I remember whenever all she did was sleep and eat all the time just like it was yesterday and now...she is doing so much! I just love her age that she is now. It is very fun!!!
Well, my camera messed up last night so I am going to have to get a new one. We do have one other camera in the house but it isn't very good quality so hopefully we will be able to get me a new one very soon! I will post older pictures over the next few days.

Lillyana Jayde's Story...

I have been wanting to blog about this for awhile but I never have gotten to it. I have had alot of people ask questions about how we got Lilly, ask about her birth parents, and ask us why she was put up for adoption. Well here it is...

After I was born, my parents knew that they did want another child but just not right away. The plan was to wait about 5 years before they tried to have a little brother/sister for me. Whenever I was 3, my mom had to have a hysterectomy due to some internal complications. This being, they knew that naturally having another child wasn't possible. My parents had thought a little bit about adoption while I was growing up...mom was 100% for it but my dad was a little unsure. He had the fear of not loving an adopted child as much as he did me. Because of this, they never seriously considered adoption. The year I turned 13, my moms best friend adopted a baby boy through domestic adoption. She and her husband were not capable of conceiving naturally. My parents followed the entire process and they were there the day she got her baby. This showed my dad the unconditional love that is felt to an adopted child and that it is no different than loving your biological child. Now...my parents knew that they were both very ready to begin the process to bring home a new little one! The first plan was International Adoption. We looked into it and right as we were just about to make the decision on Korea, my parents came across profiles for domestic adoption. My mom read the stories and fell in love with the idea and made the decision that we would begin the Domestic Adoption process.
Thats when it all began...
Interviews, homestudys, paperwork, and waiting..lots of waiting!!! We waited for almost 13 months before we were selected by a birthmother and when we finally were...it was a 14 year old girl who lived with her family in a small house about 4 hours away from us. Once we were contacted by the agency, we were able to meet the mother and we knew right away that we wanted to go with it and so did she! She was 7 months pregnant at the time and she didn't know what the baby was (which made it even more exciting!!) We would visit Lilly's birthmom 2 weekends out of the month for the next 3 months and went baby shopping and did all the fun baby preparations!
Then finally...
the day came that the baby was due! It was September 26, 2006 and birthmom was induced to begin her labor. It was a very long day but then finally at 7:22pm...I got the news! It was a baby girl. A sweet, perfect baby girl who we would call Lillyana Jayde! I will never forget the first time I saw her. My perfect baby sister!! Two days later, we brought her home and it was so hard to take her away from her birthmom. She cried and cried and kept saying that she wishes there was some way she could care for her but she knew there wasn't and that it would be best if we took Lilly and give her a successful life. We were willing to have an Open adoption but Lilly's birthmom said that she would rather close it up and end it now :( That was when we took Lilly home with us and we fostered her for a little over 1 month and then the adoption was finalized by the court. It was such an amazing expierence and I enjoy every minute that we have sweet Lilly Jayde! She is just perfect!!!

Today Lilly had a follow up appointment to have her ears checked and make sure they were clear. Thank goodness, they looked good! She did really well at the doctors, normally she is clingy and whiny as soon as we walk in but today she was very happy and she even reached out to one of the nurses.

Lilly wore her new dress today and oh my it looked so cute on her! We bought it a few days ago at a children's boutique. It has pink and red flowers all over it and around the hem it has smocking. I took a few pictures of her before we left and they turned out so cute! Those are the ones up there ^ I scrapped them tonight and I thought that it turned out really cute! The words say "Laugh everyday" and this fit Lilly girl perfect! She is always laughing!!!

Lilly had her first taste of watermelon tonight and I did not even think to take pictures :(

Well, I have no pictures from today because Lilly doesn't feel well. She was just at the doctor yesterday and everything was fine. Her ears were clear, her chest was fine, all was well but she woke up through the night screaming and running a light fever. Today she has mostly just cried and fussed all day. We are going to take her back tomorrow to have her checked out. Hopefully it is just a cold that makes her not feel well.

A fun day

Today was great! Lilly Jayde had her 9 month old check up and she did really well. Whenever we first got to the doctor, she was a little whiny and clingy...I swear she knows what the doctors office is. Once we got called back into the room, she was weighed and measured. Our sweet little Chunk'et is now up to 23 pounds. hehe, she is a tubby!!

When we got home, I took Lilly Jayde swimming and she loved it of course. After we got out of the pool, she took a nap and then once she woke up, we went to the park with Mom and Rylee. I don't have any pictures from that because I forgot to grab my camera off the charger :(
It was alot of fun though...Lilly loved the swings!

First off, didn't the picture turn out so cute? I just love it!!!
Those blue eyes are so gorgeous!!!

Today went really good! It was a little hectic caring for Lilly and Rylee but at the same time, I love it and wouldn't want it any other way! We have noticed that our Lilly has realized that she isn't the only baby anymore and she isn't sure if she likes it. If you are holding Rylee, she immediately comes to your legs and starts fussing. Of course it is so hard not to just swoop her up and give her exactly what she wants but she is going to have to learn. She really does love Rylee though. She will go up to her and give her "loves" and she will just laugh at her. It is adorable!!!

Tomorrow Lilly has her 9 month check up so I will post about that tomorrow!

Well, today is our last Saturday before Rylee Beth so it has been very busy. We are getting together last minute preparations for the new little one. I have wrote more on Rylee's blog!

Mom, Lilly, and I went shopping today for some new hairbows for Lilly. She got 2 new outfits the other day and none of her hairbows match so we had to go out and get a few new ones. They are all so cute!!! I tried to get pictures of her today but she wasn't cooperating. It just wasn't a photogenic day for her. I took this little video and I thought it turned out cute so I decided to post it.

Hopefully we will have a better picture day tomorrow!

I am so sorry for my lack of post lately. I have just been so busy around the house helping my parents out alot with Lilly Jayde. So overall it has just been a busy week.

We had a great 4th of July. Lilly is terrified of the fireworks :(
She screamed and screamed so Mom and Dad had to leave and I stayed for a little while to watch.
Whenever I got home, poor LiL girl was still upset..it was so sad to see her so scared.

Wow---First off, camp was amazing!!! I had so much fun and I saw alot of old friends. We did so many amazing things and I made so many new friends. I have pictures but there are so many...I will upload some later.

Oh my, how I missed my family! Ha, they were basically all that I thought about. My Lilly girl was on my mind basically the ENTIRE time. As was Rylee Beth! I just couldn't wait to get home and squeeze the little Chunk'et. As soon as I walked in the house she started clapping, squealing, and bouncing up and down in her high chair! I love her to death. She just went to bed and I have only been home for about 20 minutes so I didn't get much time with her. While I was unpacking, I started to think about Lilly Jayde when she was a little baby (about 3 months) and just how quick the time goes by. She has always been a little camera girl. I promise you, she was looking at the camera when she was 1 week old. I wanted to post a picture of her when she was younger. THis picture was taken when Lilly was about 5 months old! Look at that face---how precious? Gahhh I am so in love with her. haha, she is my sweet pea!!

Here is the deal...why I am not gone yet. The camp doesn't start until Thursday and I was going to be staying with a friend tonight so thats why I said I would be gone Wednesday-Sunday. Well, my friend had to cancel so now we are just going to meet at the camp tomorrow! I was actually kinda happy...thats one less day I have to be away from everyone!

I really don't have much to say on this post, so I thought that I would just post a picture of my puppy dog today! I have never post about her so I just knew I had to do it. Isn't she so cute? Her name is Prissy and she is a pug! We have had her since she was 6 weeks old and she is now 6 years old. Lilly Jayde adores her! They are very cute together!

We have our Lilly girl back! I was so happy to see her today! 2 nights without her is just to much. I am nervous though because when I leave tomorrow for camp, I will be going 4 days without her or my parents. I am actually a little nervous. I get homesick sometimes but I doubt I will because I know so many people at this camp! I most likely will not be able to post again until I get back from camp so it will most likely be Sunday night when you hear from me again. I will miss blogging and I'll be so happy when I get back!

Babysitting

Well today has seemed really weird because Lilly Jayde isn't here. She is staying at our grandparents house for a few days because they don't see her much and they wanted her! This is the first time that she is away from us and it is harder than I thought. I knew I would miss her, but she is all I think about! Oh my, this little girl has me wrapped!! I love & miss you LiL Boo!

I am babysitting a precious little girl today named Carlee. She is so sweet, I actually think that Lilly will be alot like her. She is so girlie and is always talking about being a princess. We are all pretty sure that Lilly will be the same way...she already knows that she is the little princess :)

Here is the sad news. If Lilly Jayde doesn't get home before Wednesday, then I won't see her for a whole week because I am going to church camp. I just have to see her before I leave!! AHHH. Its killing me. I didn't take many pictures this weekend so hopefully she will come back home tonight and I will take some precious little pictures!

A busy day

Today was a very fun, but busy day! After breakfest, we went to a baby boutique with my aunt who is expecting her 1st child in 3 months! You must know that whenever me and Mom come out of this place, we never come out empty handed. Haha...we bought Lilly Jayde this outfit and head band/bow. As soon as we saw it, I just knew Lilly needed it. hehe
At first Mom wouldn't go for it but when I mentioned that the cupcake would be perfect since we were going to a birthday party she gave in. We told Dad that if we bought her another outfit, it wouldn't be a dress. He asked us if he could please see her in something other than a pink dress. So we figured a blue skirt would be just fine! :)

After the botique, we went to Lucy Li's 3rd birthday party! It was so much fun and the decor was just adorable. The theme was Finding Nemo and there were fishes all over the place and one was a clown fish just like Nemo and whoever found him got a prize! It was the cutest party ever, it was very creative. Now here is the sad part...on the way to the party I was looking through my camera and it went totally dead. No problem I thought, I have extra batteries with me all the time. Just not today because I had switched bags the night before. Uhhhhh I was so upset :(
Anyway...we all had a great day!

Here are some pictures from today. These are from dinner time! Goodness, our little piglet loves dinner time! I didn't get many smiles because she was very sleepy. I just adore her big blue eyes when they have that tired look...they are so beautiful!

For those of you who haven't read my last post, we are going to be fostering a sweet baby girl names Rylee Elizabeth and we have decided that we will call her Rylee Beth! Tonight me, Mom, and Lilly Jayde went out and made the sweetest purchase ever! We bought Lilly and Rylee matching dresses, bloomers, and hair bows. The bloomers have their names stitched right across the booty!!! We do not get to pick them up until next week. We are going to save them until we get Rylee Beth, this will be what the 2 of them wear to church the first time that Rylee goes! I cannot wait!!

Tomorrow is an exciting day...Lilly Jayde will attend her very first birthday party. Her friend Lucy Li is turning 3!! Lucy Li came home from China when she was 11 months old! We met her and her family via internet last summer. They live about 2 hours away so we don't see them very often. We all cannot wait to see that little birthday girl and to see Lilly in her new outfit!

This is the sweet baby girl that will be staying with us! Her name is Rylee Elizabeth and she is just precious! We received this picture and all the information on her this morning via email. She is just to cute for words, I cannot wait to put bows in all that hair! Now starts the "fun" stuff. We have to have some interviews and sign ALOT of papers before she comes home with us. We hope to have her home by the 4th of July! However, we get to meet her next Tuesday. This is just so exciting!

Super Quick One

I don't really have time to post tonigt...it is late and Lilly Jayde fell asleep in the Pack-N-Play thats in my room so she will spend the night in here with me. Therefore I need to get the lights off before she wakes up.

My mom talked to our social worker a few hours ago and we will get the package with info on the baby girl in the morning! Her name is Rilee (sp) and she is 4 weeks old!! Tomorrow we will get a bunch of info/a picture of her and if I can then I will post it. I might not be able to post the picture until she is our baby. I am so excited!!! I can't wait to see how Lilly Jayde does with a tiny baby.

My Little Fishy

Today was a very good day! Right after we got the news about the "new baby", we went out to the pool with Lilly Jayde, and we also had some family over. We got her a bathing suit last night! It is her first bathing suit ever!! It is the sweetest thing ever. Lilly just adores the pool. She is a little fish...if it were up to her, she would stay in there for ever. I took a bunch of pictures of her and the two above are my very favorite!! I cutified the picture with a program on my computer but I couldn't get some of the pictures to go through so I had to do some of the editing myself...I hope it looks okay.

I am still trying to get over the call about the baby girl that we got earlier today. We have decided that we are going to care for her!!! I am so anxious to see her and hold her for the first time. I bet she is adorable! As soon as she is officially our foster baby, then I will post pictures!

Oh my gosh, I can't believe what just happened. The agency that we have done foster care with before just called us about fostering a 4 week old baby girl!!! Her parents just gave up full parental rights and she is now going to be a "foster care child" because she has no one to care for her :(
My parents have never done this kind of foster parenting before so they are both a little unsure. Will we fall totally in love with this baby and then get the call that she is being adopted? Or...will we be the ones to give her the forever family that she is longing to have? We do not know anything for sure yet but my parents feel like that God wants us to do this, besides why would he have made this happen if it wasn't what he knew we are suppose to do? We are suppose to be getting her profile and all the information very soon, we don't even know her name. I will let you all know whenever we do. I still can't believe this!!!

A Rainy Day

Today was one of those lazy days. It has been raining since I woke up and it still hasn't quit. So we have spent the day inside. Lilly Jayde was so happy this morning right after she woke up so out came my camera for a snapshot photo shoot. The pictures were so cute because she had a messy mouth where she had just got done eating. Those are the pictures up there ^^^

Last night Mom and I got Lilly Jayde an adorable little hat from Carter's. It is a pink camo hat and lets just say...she doesn't like it. She won't keep it on for nothing. We thought that maybe she would do good with a hat since she doesn't mind hair bows but we were wrong. As soon as we put it on, she takes it off. She is such a goofy!!

Here is the only picture that I got with the hat on. Its not the best because she wasn't happy that she was being forced to leave it on for a picture. Hehe!

Today was your basic day for us. I got up at around 9 to find Lilly Jayde in her highchair eating banana oatmeal and of course she was fussing because Mom wasn't feeding her fast enough. Hehe, she is such a piglet! Once she had her morning nap, I decided that it was time for a photo shoot! I dressed Lillyana up in her pretty little white dress and got her hair all fixed and then we went outside to get some pictures! She loves it outside so I know that I am bound to get a good picture! I discovered something great today...Lilly Jayde now has enough hair for me to pull the middle up into a "pebbles" hair do! Her few sprigs of hair pop through the top! I love putting bows in her hair, she even has a few pairs of pj's that have matching bows :) Little sisters are so much fun!!!

I was just thinking about how the end of this month will be our 8 month adoption anniversary. It is so crazy to think about life before Lilly, it almost seems like their wasn't life before her...like something was missing. Now we have this precious baby girl in our lives that not one of us can even think about life without her in it. She is just so awesome, I love her so much! God is so awesome, if it wasn't for him, then we wouldn't even know about our sweet Lillyana Jayde!!

This is my 2nd post for the day because I didn't have much time this morning. Today was so amazing...Lilly Jayde and I gave our daddy his picture this morning along with a few other gifts. Then, after church, we had a big family cookout to honor all of the dads out there! It was so much fun-there was volleyball, swimming, horse shoes, and all kinds of games and fun!

Happy Father's Day Daddy! Me and Loodles love you so much! You are the most amazing Daddy ever! WE LOVE YOU!

The picture on the time is the first time that I ever held Lilly Jayde. I will never forget the way it felt knowing that I finally had a baby sister! The feeling was almost magical the first time I held her! I am so in LOVE with this baby girl!!! The second picture was just taken yesterday. Lilly Jayde always smiles when you put the camera in front of her UNLESS she is posing with another person. That is why she is looking away from the camera. The person taking the picture has to jump around, make crazy noises, or play peek-a-boo behind the camera...that is why she is looking away. So funny!

Hey everyone, I am already back here at bloggerland! My surgery went great and I have had almost no pain. I decided that I just really wanted to come upstairs and check out my blog. Thank you for my comments, get well emails, and prayers.

Lilly Jayde is very sick...she was allergic to her medicine that was given to her for her ear infection. She is much better today but yesterday was bad. We did end up taking her to the ER because of her fever which was almost 104. So our last few days have been very tough but thankfully, we are all coming back together now. This is the first weekend EVER that I haven't taken one picture of Lilly. I have just left her alone with the camera because I know she hasn't felt well.

I hope you all have a great week, hopefully I will be able to get pictures tomorrow!

This will be my only post for awhile. Tomorrow I am having surgery on my foot, I was born with a club foot and now my muscles aren't growing right so I need corrective surgery. I am soooo nervous, I have never been put to sleep before. I'm not really scared of pain, its just the hospital ordeal, ya know? So I guess Lilly Jayde and I will be back in about a week...have a good one, I will miss blogging.

Offend anyone lately? ugh

Ok...today I was supposed to post about the weekend and how it was such a great one. We went to the zoo, the park, and did all that fun stuff with Lilly but after what happened today, that was bound to change.

Here's what happened...I was with a few of my friends today and one of their cousins came over to watch a movie with us. Mom came to pick me up and she had Lilly Jayde with her and my friends cousin asked me if Lilly and me had the same dad. I just told her no and didn't say anything else about it. Then a few minutes later me and my friend were talking about our Lilly "anniversary" that we just recently celebrated and her cousin said "Oh so she isn't really your sister?" I just gave her the look and said "Yes, she is really my little sister, my adopted little sister." and then once again nothing else was really said. Now, this is where it happens...this is where I almost lost it right there. Me and mom were getting ready to leave and Lilly Jayde was having a fit because she didn't want to ride in her carseat. I was trying to calm her down and my friend's cousin said "I wouldn't be able to deal with that since she isn't really your sister. UGHHH! I don't know if that would offend any of you but it really did me. I could feel my face getting red when I said
(in a raised voice) SHE IS REALLY MY LITTLE SISTER!!!! Oh my goodness! I don't understand why some people feel that way about adoption. I mean how could someone say that about this precious baby girl who I am so in love with??? She is my LITTLE SISTER and I will say that to anyone who thinks otherwise. Just because we don't have the same parents and we don't look alike doesn't mean that she wasn't meant for us. WHEW!!! That one got to me.

Playgroup Day

Every Wednesday we get together with a playgroup in our area. We just started the playgroup about 4 months ago and we have gotten very close with these families. As of right now, the group is just Lilly Jayde and 3 little boys...Jordan who was adopted by his forever family at age 2, Graham who was adopted by his Mommy at age 1 1/2, and Ben who was adopted by his forever family right after birth, just like Lilly! They are all very special children. We always look forward to our Wednesday mornings with the group. I am hoping that very soon we will get another little girl in the group. Until then, Lilly sure doesn't seem to mind having all the attention from the boys!

I am just now starting this blog to share my daily adventures as a big sister! We got to bring Lilly home 2 days after she was born, we got her through domestic adoption.
